About the role
West Northamptonshire Council is the lead authority for a large shared service, delivering HR & Payroll, Finance and Business Systems to a number of public sector partners. The Business Systems team is a complex and multi-site customer support and development function, providing services across several applications including our ERP (integrated finance, procurement, HR and payroll) system.
Â
We’re looking for two enthusiastic and motivated individuals to fill the role of ERP Functional Analyst. You will deal with complex incidents and system developments relating to our Unit4 Business World ERP and connected systems across finance, HR and payroll functions. One of the roles will be specifically focused on the General Ledger, Reporting, Planner and Fixed Assets modules. You’ll be joining an established functional development team in a demanding environment.  The position is based in Northampton however we also offer remote flexible working.
What will you be doing?
As part of one of our small teams specialising in a particular functional area, you will be responding to technical requests, resolving complex incidents and undertaking developments in the systems we support.Â
As well as an enquiring mind and being good at problem solving, you’ll be keen to continually develop your skills as well as support the development of the rest of our team by sharing your knowledge and experience.
About you
You must have strong technical background knowledge and understanding of ERP or financial systems, as well as be interested in how IT applications, particularly databases, work. Knowledge and experience of Unit4 Business World would be an advantage. For the dedicated finance role, you must have a strong finance background and have, or be working towards the final stages of, an accounting qualification.
